How much will EazyCool reduce the temperature of my pool?
EazyCool can reduce the temperature of your pool to below the minimum overnight temperature. This is usually about 3 to 10 degrees Celsius below what the pool temperature would have been. Pool temperature will then rise slowly during the day but remain well below what it would have been.
What makes EazyCool better than other cooling systems that use water jets for cooling?
By optimising droplet formation and distribution EazyCool has been designed to achieve the most efficient heat exchange with the atmosphere. EazyCool also maximises the flow rate through the jet system so that a higher proportion of the pool water is cooled faster and the greatest cooling effect is achieved.
How long does it take to install an EazyCool unit on my pool?
An EazyCool unit can be installed in 5-10 minutes with no need for specialist skills or trades.
How long will it take to cool my pool down?
EazyCool uses heat exchange with the cooler overnight air so the system needs to run for at least a few hours overnight. Running the system during the coolest hours of the night over consecutive nights gives the best cooling results.
How much does it cost to run the EasyCool system?
Based on a tariff of $0.40/ KWh and an average daily run time of 4 hours it costs around $1.20 a day to cool your pool with EazyCool.
Does cooling my pool with EazyCool cause water loss from the pool?
EazyCool's patented jet mounting system allows for adjustment of the spray pattern to minimise water loss from the jets. In areas of low humidity some water may be lost to evaporation as the system operates. Water lost to evaporation accelerates the cooling process so the system will not need to run for as long to cool your pool.
Can I swim in my pool while the EazyCool system is operating?
It is recommended that the EazyCool unit is removed from the pool when the pool is in use.
What should I do before storing my EazyCool unit for the winter?
Wash the unit with fresh water and store away from direct sunlight.
Can I monitor and control my pool remotely using the EasyCool system?
Remote monitoring and control units to manage the EazyCool units are in development. These will suit the existing hardware.
Does the EazyCool system make noise?
The spray jets have been designed to minimise noise however the sound of water splashing back into the pool is audible.
What time of day does the system turn on?
In most climates the coolest time of the day is between 3 and 7a.m. It is recommended that you set your system to run during these hours. Running the system during rain storms and other low temperature events that occur at other times is also recommended.
How does the system turn on?
Your EazyCool unit comes with a timer that you can set to run the system at the recommended time of day.
