Our Story

The idea was born in the sweltering tropics of northern Australia, where EazyCool founder Michael Bruvel stood beside his backyard pool and watched friends retreat from water that had become too warm to provide relief. As an amateur athlete, Michael understood the strain heat places on the body. As an environmental economist and climate adaptation specialist, he also knew the science: heat stress is one of the most serious and overlooked challenges facing communities in hot regions.

Pools should be a powerful tool for cooling down, but when they become too warm, they lose their purpose.

Driven by a personal commitment to improve life in tropical climates, Michael began developing a better solution. He started by tracking the relationship between air temperature, humidity, solar exposure, and water temperature. What began as a backyard experiment evolved into a full-scale innovation project.

Innovation Through Collaboration

With support from government innovation grants and collaboration with fluid dynamics engineers and IoT developers, Michael refined the natural processes of heat transfer and evaporation into a sophisticated yet simple system that actively manages pool temperature.

What emerged was EazyCool: a smart, scalable system that doesn't just cool pools, but responds to its environment, adapts in real-time, and helps people live better in hot and humid conditions.
